Microsoft provides drivers for several USB device classes approved by USB-IF. These drivers and their installation files are included in Windows. They are available in the WindowsSystem32DriverStoreFileRepository folder.

The USB Mass Storage Device driver features the latest USB drivers for PCs with the Realtek USB Mass Storage controller. It requires Windows 7, Vista or XP – see above for the Windows 98 and Windows 2000 download link – and it will install version 6.1.7600.30109_091106 of the driver onto your system (yep, that has got to be one of the longest version numbers for a driver that we have ever seen). To install the USB Mass Storage Device driver, unzip its contents then double click on the Setup.exe file to run the installation program. Follow the prompts and restart your computer at the end of the installation. See the readme.txt for more information, including supported languages.
